Yuhan-Kimberly Introduces Low-Irritant Absorbent Underwear

Product features improved fabric and an upgraded absorbent pad structure for increased comfort

Yuhan-Kimberly has launched the low-irritant Derma underwear, the “Depend Style DermaSkin Panty,” in Korea. The new product features improved fabric and an upgraded absorbent pad structure to provide the comfort of regular underwear. Along with this new product, a renewed version of “Depend Style Underwear” was also released, further strengthening the line-up of products for urinary incontinence.

Among consumers who have never used incontinence underwear products, many hesitate due to the perception that they are larger and thicker than regular underwear and concerns about the product being noticeable under outer clothing. Worries about skin irritation during extended wear also create psychological barriers.

Taking tconcerns over discretion, performance and skin irritation, Yuhan-Kimberly focused its efforts on developing a product as comfortable as regular underwear. By using soft materials and a flexible absorbent pad, the product fits closely and softly, like normal underwear, and features a low-irritant Derma Care Cover that reduces skin friction by a factor of 4.7. It also offers enhanced psychological comfort. Additionally, the product’s slim structure reduces thickness by 20% while maintaining its absorbency, helping to minimize the visibility of lines under outer clothing.

Yuhan-Kimberly expects the launch of the Derma line-up to serve as a catalyst for increased use of dedicated incontinence products. In pre-launch consumer surveys, the new product demonstrated a clear preference over existing underwear options.
